Work, health and safety is our number one priority and we encourage a work safe attitude with the goal to develop a successful safety culture in the work environment.
Our commitment is for our employees and the people around them to go home safely without injury by providing a working environment that is safe and has minimum or no risk to health and safety.
At minimum we endeavour to comply with the Work Health and Safety Act, Regulations and statuary provisions governing Work health, Safety, Rehabilitation and Welfare but our goal is to embrace a health and safety culture that goes beyond these standard requirements.
To achieve our high standards, we have developed and are constantly reviewing, strengthening and improving our framework of our Safety Health and Management System which has specific measurable objectives to help secure the health and safety of the workers and the workplace.
We recognize that Work, Health and Safety is a two-way conversation between management and employees where we share everyone’s knowledge and experience to achieve a safer and healthier work place.
Reporting is paramount and employees have access to a variety of reporting methods including a digital form that records their input encouraging them to participate in constant review and consultation of all aspects of health and safety in their workplace.
Managing risk is of the highest priority and an ongoing process of identifying, prioritising and controlling anything that can cause harm. Our Risk Management Policy ensures employees are constantly updated, trained, given instruction and revision to make sure that they have all the controls necessary to report, manage and minimize risk.
We maintain an extremely high value on worker capability with each employee personally vetted, reviewed and assisted to make sure that everyone is competent to their individual employment. We encourage ongoing training, instruction and supervision to enable all employees to carry out high standards of safe work practices in the workplace.
The safety of an individual comes before all other considerations. No employee or Sub-contractor is required to carry out any task that they are not qualified to do or which they consider to be unsafe or not within their capability.
If the worst case occurs and an injury does prevent an employee from returning to work, we have an excellent Return to Work Policy that shows our commitment to getting that employee back to work with rehabilitation, communication and re-integration.
